Peacemakers

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Tomorrow night our church will be studying this verse. We have been studying the beatitudes, Matthew 5: 3-12, for the last few weeks. I believe that each one of these virtues is added in order. That without the previous one you cannot gain the next. Blessed are the Poor in Spirit is the start, which leads to brokenness. Once we are broken we can be meek, and be servant leaders. Once we can serve others we will passionately pursue purity and God's power. Once we are passionate about Godly things we will have more mercy. With more mercy comes a pure heart with pure motives. Once our motives towards others are pure we will seek peace with people, we will want peace not pain. We will want to strengthen and not seek strife. Which finally leads to a mature believer that accepts the persecution for being a peacemaker.

Jesus was a peacemaker. He wanted those that were lost to come to His Father and to His flock. He wanted those that were in the flock to receive those that were lost. Yet many of the lost rejected God's peace and persecuted Jesus. Many of those that were in the fold of the Father rejected the lost and they persecuted Jesus for bringing in the sinners to sacred places.

Jesus was persecuted because He brought the scriptures to the unrighteous and the scriptures to the righteous. We too will be persecuted for sharing the scriptures, but we will be rewarded greatly for sharing the scriptures.

May your love and loyalty be to God's Law ALONE, and may you lovingly shine His Light throughout your life. The world and the wicked believers will try to put out your light, but may you continue to show your good works and Godly wisdom to all mankind.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
